The Moviyana Film Society will hold a film appreciation course

The Moviyana Film Society is set to lift the curtain on a two-month film appreciation course on September 2, according to a press release.

Syed Salahuddin Zaki, Haider Rizvi, Sanjay Mukhopadhyay, Morshedul Islam, Mahmudul Hossain, Pankaj Palit, Ratan Paul, Nurul Alam Atique, Fahmidul Haq, Sameer Ahmed, Sabyasachi Hazra and Belayat Hossain Mamun will take classes on different topics related to cinema, including ​including film history, film theory, film aesthetics, film and other media relations, photography, screenplay, art direction, film sound and music, cinematography, film editing, acting, filmmaking, psychoanalysis filmmaker and film critic.

“To understand films as an artistic medium, you have to read and learn to watch films. In our country, a well-structured cinematographic curriculum is not yet within everyone’s reach. That is why the Moviyana Film Society has been organizing film courses for a long time in different places in the country. The next film appreciation course will start on September 2,’ Belayat Hossain Mamun, president of the Moviyana Film Society, told New Age.

‘The Film Appreciation course is the introductory course in film studies. I invite young people interested in film studies to participate in this course because it is beneficial to them,” added Belayat Hossain Mamun.

Interested candidates can register for the course until August 31. Forms are available at the National Theater Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy until August 31. The course will take place on Friday and Saturday.
