We’ll walk you through the essential functions of your digital camera, including shooting modes, shutter speed, aperture and ISO, and explore how to think about taking a photo you’ll be proud to share.
Part 2: In-Person Learning and Practice, Princeton, NJ
Saturday, November 12, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET (rain date November 13)
This session provides invaluable practical advice. Ask questions, make mistakes, your instructor is there to teach you what you need to know to achieve the shots you envision. Students who cannot attend this session in person will be given photography assignments to complete at the end of Part 1.
Part 3: Composition, lighting and photo review

Saturday, November 19, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET
Our final session is a review of the photos you took when you attended Part 2 / completed your homework. In this session, we’ll dive deeper into composition, subject, scene, and lighting, looking at the role these critical elements play in making your images look as good as possible.
