New photography course connects the worlds of photography and social media
College of Photographic Studies, Melbourne (PSC), announced the introduction of a new photography course – the Certificate IV in Photography and Social Media.
The new course teaches students how to master photography and video production with a special focus on social media.
PSC CEO Julie Moss said: âFor over 40 years, PSC has adapted to the changing nature of photography and visual communication. Entering the world of social media is a natural extension of the photography education offered by our college. It is a very relevant and in-demand area for business today and an exciting area to pursue a career for creative people â.
Course learning outcomes include smartphone photography, how to photograph any subject, how to use light to create stunning photos and videos, create a compelling social media presence for yourself and your clients, and master applications, cloud-based workflows and image processing and manipulation digital.
Career opportunities for graduates include social media photo / video producer, social media campaign organizer, social media marketing coordinator, social media community management and social media digital designer.
The course takes place over two 12-week semesters, with the first admission starting June 19, 2017.
Graduation of Certificate IV in Photography and Social Media earns credits for the Advanced Diploma of the College of Studies in Photography and the bachelor’s degree courses at PSC.
