New exhibits are on view today at the 29 Palms and Joshua Tree Art Galleries.

The 29 Palms Art Gallery will organize the opening of its Summer Show this Saturday, July 2, with reception on the patio of the gallery from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The public is invited to come and meet the artists, see the show, enjoy light appetizers and drinks, and listen to music by local musician Randy Smith. Free entry. The annual Summer Show fills the gallery’s three halls and showcases new work by Twentynine Palms Artists Guild member artists, including paintings, drawings, mixed media, photography, assemblages, ceramics and more three-dimensional works. The gallery and gift shop will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Art Queen Gallery in Joshua Tree announces its latest exhibition Psychoactive Summer, featuring the dynamic paintings of artists Hi-Desert Art Fool and Ayin Es. The exhibit will be on view from today, July 2 through August 28, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an opening reception on Saturday, July 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free entry. Art Queen East Gallery is located at 61855 Twentynine Palms Hwy in Joshua Tree.
