Five Stunning Summer Landscape Photography Ideas

Summer can be a little tricky for landscape photographers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get great photos in warm weather. This great video shows you five great landscape photo ideas for summer.

Coming from Mark Denney, this video details five great ideas for summer landscape photography. Landscape photographers often lament the arrival of summer, because despite the great weather, it can actually be the least visually interesting of the four seasons. That being said, that doesn’t mean you can’t take pictures at all. Personally, I like summer landscape photography because I approach it a little differently. Given the great weather, it’s great fun to pack my camera with one lens and go for a long hike. Often I make it a longer lens, like my 100mm macro. Since summer light can often be a little harsher and harsher for long hours, using a longer lens to pick out more detail and abstract compositions can be a great way to manage the light. Watch the video above to see some of Denney’s genius ideas.
