Alison is launching a new digital photography course

Alison, one of the largest free online education platforms in the world, has just launched a new course “Introduction to Digital Photography”. This free online course is an updated and more detailed replacement for Harvard University’s old digital photography course on the Alison Platform and is easily accessible to anyone who wants to learn photography. It contains 11 modules which allow you to acquire an in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital photography, including basic digital camera functionality, working with a digital camera, processing and formatting and the different styles and genres of photography. After the introductory course, Alison took more advanced digital photography courses in production as follow-up courses based on the different levels of the learner journey. There will be 3 courses for each level – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced which will be released in the coming months.

The new introductory course contains 11 modules that give you in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital photography, including basic digital camera functionality, working with a digital camera, processing and formatting and the different styles of photography – be it landscape, street or wildlife photography. The course also offers a detailed vision of the history of photography and its origin. With the help of this course, you will become familiar with the handling of a digital camera and help you go beyond the automatic settings of a camera. After completing this course, you will be able to develop your own style of photography by mastering the techniques of digital photography.
